About our home

We live in a high set Queenslander on a large suburban block with beautiful landscaped tropical gardens. The house, built in the post war era, is high set, with stairs to both front and back doors. Many fixtures are original including tongue and groove walls and casement windows. Although a small home, the 12 foot ceilings increase the sense of space and add to the appeal of this period home. There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a cot, suitable for a baby/child up to 2 years. The second bedroom has bunks to sleep two children. There is a "sleep out" which is currently used as a study and a sitting room. There is a queen size sofa bed in the lounge room. There are split system air conditioners in the main living area and bedrooms.

Our home is located in Townsville, a city of 170,000 inhabitants, often touted as the capital of Northern Queensland, From here there is access to the Great Barrier Reef, Magnetic Island, and many other popular tourist destinations. We live 10 minutes from Townsville CBD, quality eateries and The Strand beachfront. Also in close proximity is The Aquarium (Reef HQ) and The museum of Tropical Queensland. We are within 5 minutes of several large shopping centres and markets.
