“I loved our stay in Darlinghurst. I felt at home from the minute I walked into the door of Ian and Ardsley’s home. They provided us with an enormous amount of visitor info about Sydney which they have gathered over the years. The location is very convenient in relation to all Sydney has to offer.”

About our home
Our home is in a quiet lane, but close to everything anyone would want when visiting Sydney. We offer 2 bedrooms, each having a double bed. However, there is capacity for a queen-sized blowup mattress in our attic office, in order to sleep 2 extra people. The house has one bathroom/bathtub with shower/toilet. Our dining table is the centre of our kitchen. We have a deck, which is one of our favorite places to sit, read, entertain, etc. The deck also has a barbecue, a must for any Sydney house. We have free parking on the street for our car which is available in the exchange.
We love it and hope you will as well!

Neighbourhood
We live in Darlinghurst, an inner city suburb of Sydney. Many people call it "trendy", but we think of it as convenient, fun and stimulating. Our place is about a 20 minute walk from downtown and about a wonderful 45 minute walk to the Opera House and the Rocks. Buses are 2 minutes away if you don't have time to walk. In the immediate area are many fine restaurants and cafes, two wonderful art cinemas, several small theatres, and huge Centennial Park is only minutes away for bike riding, walking, running and picnicking. Shopping is easy with or without a car and includes supermarkets as well as Saturday farmers markets and good produce/deli type shops. Oh, and fabulous gelato.
The beautiful beaches of the Eastern Suburbs are easily accessible by car or bus, including the world famous Bondi Beach. We live just minutes away from Rushcutters Bay on the harbour, the home of the Cruising Yacht Club, from which the Sydney Hobart sailboat race launches each Boxing Day.
We are very close to the night time action centres of Kings Cross, Darlinghurst and downtown Sydney. Kings Cross/Potts Point during the day is a wonderful neighbourhood, and by night caters to those who desire clubbing.
