About our home
Our beautiful home sits 300 meters up in the Blackall Range and has views from all living areas. A 25 minute drive gets us to a number of perfect beaches and top holiday destinations such as Mooloolaba. Noosa is 40 minutes. Our nearest town is a scenic, 7 minute drive and nearest village at the top of the range, complete with lots of cafes and pub, is also 7 minutes.
Our spacious living accommodation is open plan and we have flexible bedroom accommodation in that, although we have 4 bedrooms, we currently use one of them as a gym and another as a dressing room. If necessary, we could put beds back in these rooms. The house could actually sleep up to 10 (we have a sofa bed) and there is lounge seating for 10 so, having visitors for a night or two is not a problem.
We have a large car parking area, 1 acre of gardens which are not overlooked by any neighbours and a pool built into a raised deck that overlooks the Blackall Range. Beside the pool we have furniture including a table that seats 14 for those long lunches or evening get togethers.
What we love about the house, apart from the fabulous views from every window which speak for themselves, is it's location. We are on a quiet rural road from which you can take a scenic drive either down to the coast and its many tourist destinations or out into the hinterland where there are national forests on our doorstep, waterfalls, mountains and lakes all within a few minutes. We also have some excellent cafes and restaurants within 10 - 20 minutes. This really is a perfect base from which to savour all that the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland has to offer. And its a lot!
We emigrated here from Suffolk in the UK 11 years ago and still have family back home, hence the frequent travelling! Dawn is a teacher at a local high school and Robert owns a catering business. We are both foodies, play tennis several times a week, windsurf and Robert also plays piano and guitar. We also have two gorgeous dogs but, of course, they will be enjoying their own holiday! We are happy to car swap and have an 18 month old, 7 seater, Kia Sorento 4WD.
