About our home

Our second home, a duplex in Sydney's Queenscliff (a neighbouring suburb to vibrant Manly) was built in the 80's and stylishly renovated in 2013. The spacious home has great furniture and Australian artwork and a design that takes full advantage of the incredible location overlooking Freshwater beach where surfing was first introduced to Australia. It has three bedrooms -the master has a Queen bed and an en suite, 2nd bedroom with queen bed and 3rd bedroom with a double wall bed with inner spring mattress. There is a further fold out sofa bed available in the study area of the 3rd bedroom and 3 chic bathrooms in total. It has 2 fashionably furnished living areas both with glorious views and a dedicated media room (cable tv is available). The kitchen is beautifully fitted out and the dining table easily accommodates 8 people. Laundry facilities are also provided. Along with the splendid views from inside the home and from the balcony and terrace, this house is all about the location. Its an easy stroll to the beach and all the restaurants and amenities of Freshwater in one direction or the beaches of Queenscliff and Manly and their restaurants and bars at 10 minutes in the other direction. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty and amenities of Sydney's northern beaches, hang at the beach, chill on the terrace. Or when you feel more energetic stroll to the ferry at Manly and ride to the lively city and along the way admire one of the great harbours of the world with the Opera House & Harbour Bridge being the icing on the cake. Come and enjoy.
Beautiful "Freshie" as the locals call Freshwater beach also has a seawater swimming pool, life guards on duty and a surfing only section of the beach. Whilst it is known as a family friendly beach it also has surf and it was on this beach that Hawaiin Duke Kahanamoku introduced surfing to Australia. Neighbouring Queenscliff beach and Manly are also popular swimming and surfing spots. Manly also has nightlife and clubbing. The northern beaches of Sydney are laid back kind of places with the conveniences of supermarkets and grocery stores and bakeries yet the local cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars add a cosmopolitan overlay to the relaxed vibe. Beautiful coastal walks are enjoyed by joggers and strollers alike.
