Our home is a timber Victorian built around the turn of the century (circa 1900). As well as original features such as pine floorboards, and fireplace with 10ft ceilings, we have also added an extension that features concrete floors and a whole lot of white! North facing with double glazed doors, our large, open plan back room is light, bright and modern, with plenty of sun to warm it up. The back opens onto a paved outdoor area, with a garden featuring fruit trees, including mulberry, nashi pears, nectarine, lemon, olive, avocado and a grand old dame apple. Geelong is the gateway to the Great Ocean Road and many famous beaches and beachside towns including Bells Beach, Torquay, Queenscliff, Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove and a bit further south, Lorne, Apollo Bay and Port Campbell. Only one hour from Melbourne either by car or train, Geelong West is a popular suburb, walking distance to central Geelong, transport, wonderful Eastern Beach and Port Philip Bay, and cosmopolitan yet quaint, Pakington Street (Pako). Great coffee, bakeries and butcher shops as well as major supermarkets are literally one block away. Our home offers a great deal of family warmth combined with fresh, open spaces.
