About our home

LOOKING FOR A QLD SWAP in 2018

Our home is modern inside, spacious and situated in the lovely town of Healesville in the idyllic, wine-growing Yarra Valley, an hour's drive from Melbourne. We have a beautiful garden with fruit trees, vegetables and direct, private creek access, where you might spot a platypus whilst reading a book under the gum trees or getting your feet wet. Plenty of room for the kids to play, inside and out.

Partially refurbished in 2015, our 250m2 home has four bedrooms (master b/r with Tempur mattress king bed, ensuite & spa; toddler b/r with cot & change table; guest room with comfortable queen bed; study with double bed-sized futon). One bathroom with bathtub and shower, ensuite with spa and shower and separate toilet. We have an enormous living room that is open plan with the spacious kitchen, in which you can play your favourite tunes on our wireless Sonos stereo system whilst cooking up some local produce. There's also a separate library/TV room where we retire in the evenings. The kitchen is equipped with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and a gas cooktop (yet to be updated but perfectly functional and spacious, same for the bathrooms). The laundry has a Miele washing machine as well as clothes line and inside drying rack is available. Our home is bright, fresh and calming, with barely a sound to be heard other than the local parrots and cockatoos. The house has front and back verandahs, but you will be drawn into our 3000m2 (3/4 acre) garden once you step out of the door.

We have a mid-week cleaner, who is included in a points swap or if you also have a cleaner for a direct swap.

We are a 10 minute walk or a 1 minute drive to Healesville's vibrant hospitality scene of cafes, restaurants and bars. Beautiful Queen's Park, a 5 minute walk, is equipped with local outdoor pool and an excellent playground shaded by a giant Elm tree. Grab a coffee from Innocent Bystander or one of the many other local cafes and settle in. A quick half hour trip to the closest train station in Lilydale will get you into the centre of Melbourne for the occasional city fix if you need it.
