About our home

Built early last century and situated in the world heritage listed Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Set on i/2 acre landscaped grounds with chooks, a cat and dog (they will probably be resident while we are away but are looked after by an onsite caretaker). Two blocks from the main hub of Katoomba and two blocks from the entry to the national park. Katoomba can be reached by train from Sydney and is the most visited attraction in my state of NSW. the highlights include Echo Point and the Three Sisters and Scenic World with the crazy Scenic Railway that plunges deep into the rainforest. The 3 sisters at echo point are about 20 minutes walk through our beautiful regional town. Of course the main attraction is the bush walking in the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. We are also famous for our cafes with world class coffee and restaurants as well as quirky shopping at Katoomba and nearby Leura.
I am available to do full swaps in Late May, June, July or August and can do points swaps most other times as we have a number of bedrooms, the flat and a caravan. We can accommodate up to 6 people even when we are in residence. The rainbow room is always spare and the caravan makes a fun and quirky '50's style retreat in the spring and summer months. We also have a grand bedroom which I use as a dance space but it can easily be fitted out as a bedroom most of the time. It overlooks the front garden and the rhododendrons at the side. Our garden is at it's best in Spring and also more recently in Summer.
I particularly love England and Scotland and am looking for a place near Glastonbury for a week July/August next year, which can be a full swap (although I generally need a caretaker on site (usually in the flat) to look after the chooks and pets). My plan for 2017 is to travel through Norwich, Yorkshire, Northumberland, Midlands around June and on to the Glastonbury area late July/August. I am particularly interested in staying on a canal boat but love English houses too. I generally travel with my very responsible teenage daughter. As I just want one or two nights in each area I am mainly looking at points swaps for this trip. I may need to be in Glastonbury for longer so that could be a full swap but I'm not sure of the dates yet. Right now I am considering a spur of the moment trip to England and am looking for last minute swaps or points in London, Yorkshire and Midlands -I could just stay in London for the whole or most of the month.
