About our home

We have put a great deal of effort into creating a welcoming and easy-care home. Comfortable, spotlessly clean with a generous living area this house offers four roomy bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queenbed and an en-suite. The second bedroom has a double bed with a large size cot. The third bedroom has a queen bed, a single bed and two trundle beds. The fourth bedroom has two king singles. All linen is provided.

After a strenuous or leisurely bushwalk you can soak away those aching muscles in the spa bath in the master bedroom ensuite. Or,on chilly nights, curl up by the large wood burning stove with the gas central heating as a backup. There is plenty of ready prepared fuel on site.

In the heart of the Blue Mountains, 34b is set on the edge of the quiet south side of Katoomba. This property is sits in quarter acre block of land with spectacular views of sandstone cliffs in the distance. Ideally situated within a short drive for local shops * and 2 mins from a local sports centre which offers indoor and outdoor swimming, a fully equipped gymnasium and “Kids Kingdom” a soft play area for primary aged children.

For birders you can reach Capertee National Park - an ornithologists delight - and return within the day.

*Katoomba boasts three major supermarkets, an extensive cafe culture and is the starting point for numerous activities.

More about us

  1. Richard and I are typical empty nesters. Richard is a university academic currently working in science engineering and music. I work three days a week in the city for the Uniting Church in Australia and enjoy spending time with grandchildren. We are both working to develop our property in the Blue Mountains. One of our children lives in the UK and we are seeking a base in which to stay during a proposed trip.
