The neighbourhood

Killarney Heights is a very safe and leafy suburb with a high French population which is reflected in the local French school and cafe. It is about 12km from the Sydney CBD and you can be at several beautiful surf beaches in 15-20 minutes. Killarney Heights is surrounded by the bushland of Garigal National Park which provides amazing hiking tracks for those wanting to explore the bush. Flat Rock Beach is located in the National Park and a 15 minute walk, an ideal spot for cooling off after a bush walk. There is a local shopping village a few minutes walk from the house with a small grocery store, bottle (liquor) shop, French patisserie and cafe. 2km (or 4 mins by car), there is a larger shopping percent which includes a supermarket, butcher, post office, fruit shop and much more. There are plenty of parks, playgrounds and a tennis court located in the neighbourhood.

Getting around

There is a bus stop approximately 50 metres from the house with buses directly to Chatswood (large shopping district) every 20 minutes. Direct buses to Sydney CBD depart early every morning and return every evening, Alternatively, you can make one change and buses will take you in and out of the CBD at 20 minute intervals all day. Routes are also available to the beaches. Plenty of parking on the property if you opt to hire a car.
