About our home

***** WE HAVE ACCOMMODATION IN EDINBURGH ***** Our home is clean, comfortable and cosy with a large kitchen and adjoining lounge room. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 with a double bed, ensuite to main bedroom, and one a single bed. There is access to the garage from the front, backyard and house, making it an ideal extra BBQ/entertaining area. The backyard is a very tidy enclosed paved area with many flowers. We love spending time in our home and having friends over, as it is warm and inviting.

More about us

  1. We are sisters, Elizabeth and Esther in our late 50's with grown up children. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see ours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Australia.

Where is it?

Our neighbourhood in Boronia, Knox east of Melbourne, is ideally located, as it offers easy access to the Yarra Valley Region with wineries, craft and fresh produce markets, antiques, cafes and lovely walks. At Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary see unique Australian animals and flora up close, take a Balloon Flight, and go skiing in the mountains. In the City of Melbourne approx 45mins. by car, ride the talking City Circle Tram, view the city from the Melbourne Observation Deck, cruise down the Yarra River to Williamstown, visit Queen Victoria Market, Luna Park, Southbank and the Casino, the Museum, Art Gallery and Theatres. Don't forget the shopping in the City and Chapel St. South Yarra for boutiques and fashion stores. Sydney Rd. Brunswick is the veritable United Nations of restaurants with Chinatown in Lt.Bourke St. Melbourne, and Lt.Saigon in Victoria St. Richmond. In Victoria's south west, drive along the awesome coastal wonder of the Great Ocean Road, travel east through the Bellarine Peninsula, catch a ferry to the Mornington Peninsula to the very best golf courses and wineries, and get lost in the Ashcombe Maze. Visit the penguins at Phillip Island, go east to the Lakes district of Gippsland with fishing and surf beaches and see the history of the State Coal Mine at Wonthaggi. In Victoria's north, visit Ballarat's Sovereign Hill for a living museum of our gold rush history.
