About our home

Modernised home, pick veg & herbs from the garden. Abundance of bird and wildlife. Lemon Tree is a quiet little village on the Tiligerry Peninsula, several local restaurants and a Bowling Club all within easy walk along the boardwalk. Great walking, fishing, boating but most of all relaxing but easy to travel to the Hunter Valley wineries (45 mins), Barrington Tops, (45 mins), Newcastle (35 mins), Nelson Bay(30 mins). Village has shops for daily needs and a local supermarket is 5 mins drive away. Sydney is an easy 2 1/2 hour drive, or take the train from Newcastle. Hire boats available from Lemon Tree Marina and house boats at Buladelah. Go out in the bay and see the dolphins. Perfect place for kayakers.
We have recently had a spa (hot tub) installed in the back garden.

More about us

  1. We are a retired couple who left Sydney for a quieter lifestyle ten years ago and don't regret a thing. We are involved in the local Marine Rescue Volunteers (Coastguard) and have recently joined an Historic Car Club as Joe has an old car. We belong to the local walking group as well and have done some great walks with them (they are open to visitors too should you wish to stay). While it's ok to spend some time with family and friends we really would like to have our own base, at least for some of the time, so any length swap would be considered.
We love dogs so would be happy to dog-sit, as long as there is back up should we travel.

  2. Retired.

  3. Our house is our family home - made to be lived in.
