About our home

Our home "The old house" was built in 1844 by one of the modern settlers of Lord Howe Island using red cedar timber logs that washed up on the beach. The home has since been extended throughout the generations and now includes: large red cedar framed doors and windows throughout, large timber deck bordered by tropical plants, new large hamptons style kitchen with meile dishwasher and smeg oven, and a master bedroom with clawfoot bath ensuite - all with enclosed private outdoor garden.
