About our home

Completely contemporary, stunning views over Loutit Bay, Lorne, Victoria, Australia, featuring polished flooring, carpeted bedrooms, two balconies and a private garden walking distance to the beach. A separate one bedroom, one bathroom unit a few steps from the front door facilitates extra accommodation. Lorne is on the Great Ocean Road, one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Victoria if not Australia. Comfortable and modern, AC for summer and heating for winter, plus a fireplace. Elegantly furnished, with a highly functional modern kitchen and laundry with everything required downstairs it is a dream holiday house. It is our holiday home and we have a house in Melbourne so we intend to swap the houses mainly for international or interstate travel.

Where is it?

Lorne is situated on the Great Ocean Road, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. The Great Ocean Road takes you from Melbourne along the southern coast with its dramatic and beautiful coastal scenery and through some of the most beautiful country in the state. Lorne itself is a happening resort town - quieter in winter but jumping in the summer. Wonderful restaurants and retail, home to the famous Pier to Pub swim in January, and nestled at the foot of The Otway Ranges, which offers some of the most extraordinary bush walks to pristine waterfalls and along bush tracks, while also not being far from the Otway Fly - a famous tree top walk in the Otway National Park. Lorne is also only half an hour away from Brae, now renowned as the 48th best restaurant in the world, which is situated in the characterful country town of Birregurra just a quick drive over the Otways. Whether visiting Kennett River to see the koalas, or venturing further down the coast to Apollo Bay, there is an endless list of things to see and do locally.
Surfing, swimming, fishing or relaxing on the beach - Lorne, the coast and the hinterland offers a million choices of places to visit and things to do.
