Visit the SUNSHINE COAST of Queensland, Australia. This is a popular tourist destination approx 85 km north of Brisbane (50 min drive to Brisbane airport and 15 minutes to Maroochydore airport)
Our home backs onto natural rainforest full of palm trees and numerous wild birds. We are located 3 blocks from the beach where you will find walking paths, picnic areas and supervised swim areas.
We live in a quiet residential neighborhood in a modern open-plan two story home with 2 bedrooms available to swap. (1 queen bed on the upper level and 1 king single bed on the main level), 2 bathrooms, a modern kitchen, separate dining area, a study and a large outdoor covered deck with a gas BBQ.
The weather on the Sunshine Coast is wonderful! In June & July (Australian winter) with daytime temperatures not normally 20 degrees C. In Summer, temperatures are rarely over 30 degrees Celsius.

LOOKING FOR EXCHANGE IN: Calgary, Alberta, Canada or area for at least 4 weeks (preferably 6-8 weeks) between June 1 and Sept 30, 2011. Exchanges for the same time period in 2012 will be considered.

Approximately one km away is the Sunshine Plaza Shopping Center, the largest shopping center on the Sunshine Coast with shopping, movie theaters and restaurants.
In our local area are world class golf courses, walking & bike paths, fishing, patrolled beaches for swimming & surfing and boating rentals (just to name a few)
Several Aussie tourist attractions are less than an hours drive including the Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin), Underwater World, The Buderim Ginger Factory, Aussie World and the Ettamogah Pub. For more info see:
Alternatively, Noosa is less than an hours drive to the north or 2 hours south is the Gold Coast with large shopping centers and theme parks Dreamworld, Movie World & Sea World.
There is an excellent bus & train service in our area running from the Gold Coast to Noosa (a 200km area along the east coast of Australia) A domestic airport is situated 15 minutes away making it easy to take trips to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. (Virgin Air & Qantas) and the International airport is less than an hours drive away. The International airport is located in Brisbane and is serviced by 2 private bus services for a reasonable fee.
We are Canadian expats, both in our 50's, semi-retired and love to travel. We are well known for our clean, organized house and are looking for someone with the same beliefs.
