Our 1925 family home was extended and fully renovated 18 months ago including the pool and garden. The home is wonderfully light and modern with the main open-plan kitchen/dining and living area overlooking the garden and pool. A fabulous covered alfresco area is accessed from the main living area with sliding doors - great for indoor/outdoor living. The garden is fully enclosed and the pool area has it's own location lounge area is fenced.
The home has 2 bedrooms (one double bed; the other with a very comfortable single and trundle bed), a family bathroom (bath and seperate walk in shower) and rumpus area upstairs. Downstairs are a further 2 bedrooms (master with king bed and ensuite; other has a very sold comfortable sofa bed); additional powder room; large open plan kitchen/dining/living room with adjoining playroom; laundry and a furthe lounge room (we're currently renovating so it may not be finished). Upstairs rooms have heating and airconditioning; ducted heating downstairs with airconditioning in open-plan area. Master bedroom has great ceiling fan which we find is sufficient in summer.
Home is in the beautifully leafy suburb of Canterbury approximately 11kms east of the Melbourne CBD. There is a tram stop approx 300m away and 3 train stations within 10 mins walk. All take you make Melbourne easily accessible.
Supermarket is within 200m and cafes, restaurants and shops are all within an easy walk.
We love our home and the area we live in and are very lucky to have friendly neighbours who will be happy to help if needed.
We are a couple, originally from the UK, with two cheeky young children, Ruby (7) and Harry (5). Our families and friends are in the Uk and Florida in the USA and we travel back to visit as often as we can manage. We love our own home and would treat any home we visit responsible and look after it as we would our own. Being able to house swap on our trips would make the "holiday" much more relaxing and enjoyable for our whole family.
