The house is in the inner city location of Moonee Ponds and has close proximity to the Puckle Street shopping/cafe/dining precinct (400 metres), public transport (tram, train and bus), the Moonee Valley and Flemington race tracks (horses), the Maribyrnong River, the Moonee Ponds Creek, parks, golf courses, the Melbourne Zoo, the Melbourne Showgrounds and is 5 kilometres from the centre of Melbourne and is 20 minutes by car to the main international/domestic airport.
The home is in a quiet street and is a Federation period house which has been renovated and has large backyard with a cubby house, swing set and BBQ area.
Melbourne has a large number of attractions and within a few hours by car are a number of beaches, the Yarra Valley wine region, the Grampians National Park, the historical central Victoria, the snowfields, the Great Ocean Road and the riverina.
Our neighbourhood is a very friendly residential area with cafes and restaurants literally at the end of the street. Puckle Street is the main shopping strip in Moonee Ponds and has a range of food/entertainment and retail facilities that make it easy to spend an hour or the whole day - all within a 5 minute walk.
The location of our house makes it very easy to access everything that Melbourne has to offer whether that be the galleries, museums or arts precinct or the various sporting facilities in Melbourne (including AFL football at the MCG or Docklands stadium, NRL Rugby, National Netball competition, horse racing, soccer together with all the shopping, food and dining opportunities within the city itself.
