About our home

Our home has been extensively renovated with modern bathroom, separate toilet and ensuite off main bedroom. Includes 2 rooms with queen sized beds and 2 small childrens rooms. We have air conditioning and ducted heating as well as a wood Coonara heater. There are 2 large living spaces as well as a large kitchen/eating area. Plenty of outdoor entertaining areas, including an outdoor spa for 6 people. There are extensive vegetable gardens that guests can help themselves to. We have lovely walking tracks and an extensive rail trail for bike enthusiastists. We are close to Puffing Billy railway as well as other numerous hills tourist attractions including Emerald Lake, Lysterfield Lake and Cardinia Dam. We are close to the Yarra Valley wine region. We are happy to consider a car swap. We are close to Wellington Rd and freeway takes you into Melbourne city in 45 mins.
I am a retired social worker and my husband Barry is a retired engineer. We love bush walking, cycling, theatre and exploring historical sites/museums. We would treat your home with the same respect as we do our own.

Where is it?


Menzies Creek is located in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges and within an easy day trip to the Yarra Valley wineries, ballooning adventures, Healesville sanctuary, etc. The Dandenongs are well known for Puffing Billy as well as fabulous national parks and bush walks in the forest with soaring Mountain Ash gums and lush tree ferns with abundant bird life, including Lyrebirds, kookaburras, parrots etc. Many free Parks and Gardens, including the Rhododendron Gardens, Alfred Nicholas Garden and tourist villages such as Olinda and Sassafras that offer loads of interesting retail shops to explore. There are many atmospheric and cozy cafes and restaurants with excellent, first class cuisine and so much more. All of this is right on the doorstep of Melbourne city which is only 45 mins away via the Eastern Freeway.
