About our home

We have just completed a massive renovation on our gorgeous Edwardian home which is located in a quiet tree lined street in Middle Park, one of the most desirable suburbs in Melbourne. It is only 2 streets away from the beach and a short walk to Albert Park lake, St Kilda and many great cafes and restaurants. 2 trams go straight into the City via Southbank which is famous for Crown Casino and its strip of lovely riverside restaurants.
The front part of our house where the master bedroom and main guest bedroom are has amazing high ceilings and stunning period features and chandeliers. The back of the house features a massive open plan kitchen, living room and dining room with huge sliding doors opening onto a deck and newly landscaped garden.
Upstairs, the girls have a huge bedroom/ rumpus room with 2 king single beds both with trundles and there is also a separate attic bedroom with queen bed. There is also an upstairs bathroom and large roof terrace.

Our home features:
4 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens, 2 king singles with trundle beds) sleeps 8-10 plus portacot
3 bathrooms (1 with free standing clawfoot bath)
1 separate toilet
Brand new kitchen with dishwasher, built in oven, induction cooktop, fridge freezer and walk in pantry/laundry
Huge open plan dining, living area with gas fire, air con, 2 sofas & large flat screen TV, hard drive recorder/ DVD player
Backyard has deck with BBQ, outdoor table, seating for 8, Springfree trampoline, herb garden

We have 2 young girls so our house is very well suited to families with young children. You would be welcome to use any of their books, toys, scooters, bikes etc. We also have 2 adult mountain bikes with a Chariot trailer for 2 children which is perfect for the beach cycle path.

Melbourne is famous for its amazing cafe culture...so if you're into great cafes for brunch, hidden bars in the City laneways or fine dining restaurants, we can give you lots of suggestions.

Melbourne also hosts the Australian Grand Prix in Albert Park (we are literally 4 mins walk from Gate 1) and we would be happy to swap/rent the house out during this time (12-15th March)

We are keen for short term swaps within Australia...especially by the beach in Sydney, Byron Bay, Noosa, Western Australia, Tasmania etc. We also tend to go back to the UK around June/July or at Christmas so would also love a European swap eg a summer villa in France/ Italy or a ski chalet in winter.
In 2015, we will be in the UK from mid June to mid July so would love to get a sunny holiday in Europe.
Our house will also be available for rent, points or traditional swap from Jan 8th until jan 16th 2015.
