Our spacious home is centrally located for exploring all that the Byron Bay area has to offer. Perched on a rainforest escarpment with beautiful ocean and forest views and sea breezes, there is room for family and friends to eat, sleep and play.
Large verandah for relaxing on the lounge or day bed, large grassy yard for play also has a big table for candle-lit dinner under the stars, kids play equipment, garden hammock for resting and taking in the view, large open plan lounge dining room, inside antique timber dining table seats 6-8. Kitchen is old-fashioned but functional with large fridge freezer and 6 burner gas stove and oven. Bathroom is also old-fashioned and unrenovated but functional with shower and a small square shower 'bath'. There is also a rustic outdoor bath that can be filled hot with the hose from the laundry, which is beautiful at dusk watching the ocean disappear into the starry night.
There are two bedrooms, one with an extremely comfortable king size latex bed, one with single or double bed as required, both have ocean views. We can add an extra comfy queen mattress on floor if required, and there is a comfortable double daubed with mozzie net on the verandah.
We also have a very basic vintage caravan which could be made available if you have extra guests..
5 minute drive to gorgeous large rainforest swimming hole, 20 minutes to national parks walk Minton Falls, 4 minutes to bohemian town of Mullumbimby with excellent farmers market cafes supermarkets, yoga classes, 12 minutes to Brunswick Heads for beautiful ocean or river swims, walks, kayak, canoe, SUP, cafes, cinema, and vintage shops, 25 minutes to Byron Bay for incredible world class beaches, lighthouse walk, kayak with dolphins, learn to surf, cinema, cafes, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, etc. 12 min Bangalow quaint upmarket village of fantastic market, boutiques, restaurants etc.
We have 40 acres, you can take a walk and take in the views, or walk 4 minutes to the Crystal Castle, a fantastic venue for café, meditation, workshops and events and sublime gardens.
There are Koalas, Tawny Frogmouth's, Wedge-tailed eagles, Possums and more. Nature is not quiet here! You will hear frogs and birds and bats and possums and possibly Koalas
The area is renowned for clean rivers, waterholes, magical rainforest, quirky rich and diverse culture and activities, fantastic beaches and sophisticated array of entertainment and dining options. There are many brilliant farmers market, (the closest is Mullumbimby 5 min drive on a Friday), craft markets and soooo much to do and see and explore. School holidays include an array of special activities for kids in the area as well.
If you want luxury and hotel styling this is not for you. If a well-located, comfortable and scenic home for family to stay and play in beautiful Byron shire is on your list then this may suit. It is convenient, the outlook is beautiful. It's an easy comfortable house to live in and great for families with children as it's not too precious and the house opens onto the big lawn for easy inside outside play and enjoyment.
