“This house is one of the nicest homes we have stayed in with LoveHomeSwap. The position is great, the views are magnificent and the home is just delightful with every modern convenience and a beautiful decor. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Situated just over a km from the golden sands of beautiful Newport Beach and a stone's throw from all of the delights of Pittwater this is a destination in itself. We loved waking up to the sound of birdsong, drinks on the terrace overlooking the magnificent views and went for lots of walks along the foreshore. Thank you Anne & Michael for the experience we look forward already to next time. Marilyn & Barry Kearney ”

About our home
OUR HOME: AVAILABLE from late March - early August 2017
Located just a few minutes from beautiful, safe, sandy surfing beaches and overlooking the fabulous Pittwater waterway.
Entry to our home, which is newly renovated inside and out, is down a few steps through a tropical garden with glimpses of the waterways below. The mezzanine entry leads down a few steps to a large open plan lounge/dining / kitchen/family eating area. From the lounge and dining areas you can see panoramic views of both Pittwater and the Pacific Ocean with coastline looking all the way to the North Head of Sydney Harbour.
The lounge/ dining, with soaring 6 m high ceiling, features a slow combustion wood burning fireplace plus gas heating, large internet connected flat screen 3D TV, Wifi available, family eating and new kitchen with granite benches, Italian Ilve appliances and gas cook top, Miele dishwasher and an espresso machine. Here there is also reverse cycle air conditioning. Adjacent is a guest bathroom and laundry.
Leading out from this open plan level is a huge semi-covered deck with gas BBQ and 2 outdoor table settings, all overlooking stunning water and coastal views. Watch the local sailing boats while you sip a drink and enjoy the views all around.
The large mezzanine bedroom is up a few stairs and has new full marble ensuite bathroom with double shower. There is a small deck off this bedroom also with stunning views of the water, perfect for a Champagne while watching the sunset.
Downstairs on the lower level are 2 large guest bedrooms, a newly renovated bathroom, and a large family room with flat screen TV , study and computer, plus gym, again all rooms with fabulous views. There is also a small deck off this room too, leading to the back garden. Lexus sedan available for swap. Strictly Non Smoking.
We love this area for its world class walks with panoramas over the Pacific Ocean and glorious Pittwater. There is easy access to many scenic walks, many great safe surf beaches, cafes & restaurants aplenty, plus stylish shops, supermarkets (5min drive or 10min walk), and 2 cinemas, 6 local golf courses, and 2 yacht clubs with great restaurants on the waterfront (5 mins drive) and beautiful safe sailing around the Pittwater waterways. You can hire a boat or a kayak.
In 20 mins- there is the wonderful scenic National Park of Kurringai, with spectacular views of Pittwater and the whole coastline and here there are many walks surrounded native flora and fauna. You can catch a ferry from Palm Beach to the Central Coast, or Pattonga, Ettalong or right up the Hawksberry River.
There is a very good local theatre, Glen St, 25 mins drive away with year -round plays and music on offer.
Half an hour will see you in Manly from where you can take the ferry across the world's most beautiful harbour to Sydney City. For anyone visiting Sydney for the first time this is an unforgettable experience as the ferry passes within touching distance of the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Alternatively, in 40minutes (off-peak by car or bus) you can drive to the City and enjoy all the culture, history and delights Sydney has to offer.

“We had a fabulous week here and thoroughly enjoyed the house, views and visits from sulphur crested cockatoos and rainbow lorikeets. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful - as were the neighbours. Highly recommended.”
“Michael and Anne are great hosts and made everything so easy. A delightful couple who left me more than enough information to get around and enjoy my stay. They go above and beyond and I would highly recommend them for a home swap. Thanks so much for everything Anne and Micheal and I look forward to returning the favour and having you in my home!! ”
“The joy of Sydney without the bustle”
3 things they loved about the trip
- Great house in great location
- Very helpful owners who made us feel at home
- Daily visits by parrots and cockatoos
“We loved the layout of the house with its open design and balcony with sweeping views of the Pittwater. Our teenage son lived like a king in his own apartment. Owners couldn't have been more helpful - picked us up and drop dropped us off. We loved using the Lexus to patrol the beautiful northern beaches. The only demands placed on us were from the passing parrots who insisted on their breakfast, even eating out of our hands.”
