Our home exceeds all other Sunsets and views in Darwin.
Our newly built 3bedroom apartment located in Nightcliff looks over the mangroves into the Nightcliff Beach and promenade.
The apartment is open plan kitchen lounge and dining area that looks out onto the balcony so all meal times are always long lasting with ocean breezes and ocean views.
Master bedroom has ensuite and two other bedrooms share the bathroom / laundry, with a shower over bath.
Wifi is available also.
Lounge is a cosy leather 'Lazy Boy' 6 seater L shaped lounge and bean bags and banana lounges.
LCD TV and DVD player and stereo for good use.
There is a lap pool on the premises, downstairs.
A gym next door that does Les Mills Classes.
Bowling alley next door and the local shops: Post office, Local Fish Market shop, two iconic Nightcliff cafes across the road and Ted Cross Op shop (incase you need emergency swimmers- very handy).
Woolworths supermarket and butchers are just 2 minutes walk behind apartment building.
There are two bus stops right out the front, the Number 4 bus will take you into Darwin CBD, it stops at Fanny Bay Sailing clubs and a the Ski club, Mindil Beach Markets and the Casino and also goes to Casuarina Shopping Centre where there is also a cinema. (15-2o minutes each way from our apartment, bus costs $3 and hold onto your ticket it lasts for 3 hours! Health care card holders get charged $1 )
There is a walking/ bike track
Out the front of the apartment which takes you to the Nightiff Jetty, some Food Vans on weekends, the famous Nightcliff Pool that over looks the cliffs and ocean and sunsets- and aqua aerobics is really fun here too- true Darwin atmosphere.
There is a cafe next door The Foreshore, is open 7.30am-10pm and is Licensed.
The walking track takes you past the Beachfront pub if you feel too hot and need a pint- they do a local meat tray on a Friday night always hilarious with the locals.
Back to the walking track, that leads into Rapid Creek and then onto Casuarina Beach and then to Dripstone Cliffs then the Surf Club, where there is a great open space cafe that serve food and booze
And is very bohemian and with good music on a weekend.
You can walk on the beaches just maybe don't dive in the water due to crocs, iriganji and box jellyfish.. Just stay out of all wild water ways unless the Rangers give you the ok on their website hey... Even locals get done by crocs in the dry . LOL.
You'll love Darwin's small country town charm and the "quintessential Aussie" larrekin personality.
Cheers. Jess & Millie.
