About our home

Our unique hand built, barn style cottage has massive recycled posts and beams, slate floors and a potbelly stove for heating. The verandah and pergola at the front is overhung with grape vines, while the private courtyard at the rear is sheltered by a rock wall and gardens.
There are 3 bedrooms, generous living and dining rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry and a bathroom with a clawfoot bath. The composting toilet is separate and has a hand basin. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, one with its own balcony, and the main bedroom opens onto the courtyard and is ensuite to the bathroom.
Guests are charmed by the ambiance of our retro and vintage furnishing style.
Our 20 acre property has extensive gardens, a bamboo forest ideal for quiet contemplation, a lake with a deck and a fire pit for cooler nights. Wildlife abounds and the numerous bird species enliven the environment and enchant us all.
