Situated between city, harbour and Bondi Beach this is a small but perfectly located Paddington terrace house, the place for proximity to all Sydney has to offer and appropriate to relax between trips further afield in Australia.
On the street entrance level is the main living space with TV and a study with Wi-fi as well as a separate kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave, cook top, fridge. Upstairs there is one bedroom available with a queen size bed and adjoining lounge room with divan bed, then a shower room with WC next to dressing room. There is also a clothes washer. Dryer is in the basement. Further down stairs is a small courtyard garden and patio for outdoor living.
The house retains it historical character and has a range of furnishings both old and contemporary with art works and books. A fireplace and gas heating make it cosy in the cooler months. Use of car and garage is negotiable. Our street is quiet and tree lined.
“John and Jenny’s place was ideally situated for our trip to Sydney being near many interesting independent shops, cafes and good restaurants and still within easy reach of beaches and the CBD. We loved the lush, almost tropical garden - what a lovely restful place to sit in. Communication with John and Jenny was easy and very friendly. The house has character and artworks adorn every wall, which we loved. Hopefully we can come again some day. Thank you Jenny and John.”

“We have just had a memorable stay of two weeks in Sidney Paddington thanks to Jennifer and John. Jennifer and John welcomed us with an excellent meal and showed us everything we had to know about the house. They are very hospitable. The house is very nice and comfortable with a superb, quiet and intimate little garden in which we spent very nice hours. The house is just 5 minutes walk away from a bus stop in Oxford Street where convenient bus connections to the city centre are available. It takes no more than 15 - 20 minutes to get to the CBD or Circular Quay which is great. Oxford Street has it all with cafés, restaurants, food stores… and is very lively, while Stewart Street, though being so close to Oxford Street, is extremely peaceful and quiet. A very pleasant contrast. To summarise, great people in a very nice house in a charming Paddington that is close to all the great attractions of Sidney. ”

We are John and Jenny, retired history and visual arts teachers who continue to read, write, draw and paint. Like many Australians we travel extensively finding our interests are stimulated by visits to Asia as well as Europe.
John has self-published his 'Brief History of South Paddington' about our area of Sydney. You may want to check out his account of the locality. Jenny loves working and relaxing in the courtyard garden and hopes you too can joy it.

Historic Paddington is an inner city suburb of Sydney with rows of terrace houses with filigree iron balconies, a 25 minute walk to the city and the harbour. We are very near the bus to the city, Bondi beach as well as spectacular Watsons Bay and other beaches. Just a few walking minutes away are shops, restaurants, cinemas, parks, sporting venues and many small art galleries and specialised boutiques. The airport is 25 minutes away by taxi - longer in traffic - and the area has direct access to expressways and tunnels to greater Sydney and beyond. Central railway station is not far away.
