About our home
Casa Bella is set in an idyllic location less than 300 metres walk to Palm Beach and the rock pool and with 180 degree uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean and Pittwater.
Casa Bella is an architect designed home that is approximately 10 years old. The property consists of 2 levels and in addition has undercover parking for at least 6 cars. The first floor features a huge open-plan living room, with a well appointed gourmet kitchen, a large dining table suitable for dinner parties of up to 10 people and plenty of possibilities for lounging around and enjoying the view, with 2 sofas and an antique Balinese day bed. There is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer and a toilet.
Off the downstairs living area there are 3 separate outdoor areas suitable for lounging or dining al fresco, 2 of which have splendid ocean views. One of the courtyards has a barbecue with table and chairs while the front balcony has lounge chairs suitable for relaxing and taking in the view.
On the second floor there are four large bedrooms each with spectacular views. The master bedroom has a king-size 4-poster luxury bed, the second bedroom, a double bed, the third a queen-size bed while the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed (2 single beds). Upstairs there are also 3 bathrooms, the master bedroom with an en-suite containing both shower and a bath. A television/lounge room is also located on the second level and includes a large flat screen TV, with DVD and Foxtel. A flat screen TV and DVD are also located in the downstairs living room plus docking station for your Ipod/Ipad from which to play music or you can connect via bluetooth from any smart phone.
Palm Beach, the jewel of the Northern Beaches, is the northernmost suburb of Sydney, less than an hour's drive from the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the CBD. Nestled on a landmark peninsula, it is blessed with a unique contrast of lush evergreen bushland and beaches of golden sand, enveloped by the pristine blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and the calm sailing paradise of Pittwater. A unique environmental awareness blending breathtaking views with quaint cottages and palatial homes, ensures that Palm Beach will forever enjoy a lifestyle of relaxed and casual affluence.

“An outstanding home with one of the world's best views.”
3 things they loved about the trip
- The panorama from the balcony is utterly breathtaking.
- The antique Balinese day bed with an opera-box view of the ocean.
- The most spectacular of sunrises over the Pacific Ocean.
“Arriving late on a black, moonless night, we parked in the six-car garage, tiptoed up the steps tingling with anticipation, and unlocked a house so lovely I felt almost tearful after our earlier stressful lost-in-Sydney-with-a-misbehaving-GPS experience. Everyone else went to bed but I wandered around the exquisite two-storey, four-bedroom, three-bathroom house, patting the furniture and ticking off a mental checklist of all the features I recognised from the website. I stood on the balcony and could hear the waves and see the reflection of lights on the water. I awoke at first light, slid quietly from the sumptuous king-size, four-poster bed and peeked through the white shutters of the upstairs master bedroom. I gasped at the sight and rummaged for camera, iPad and iPhone to record the most spectacular of sunrises over the Pacific Ocean. All the bedrooms and living areas at Casa Bella look out straight out to the ocean with the golden sands of Palm Beach just 300 metres away. Downstairs the front of the house is glass from floor to ceiling providing maximum light and uninterrupted panoramas. The space and light give one a sense of floating in mid-air above the water. Louvres allow the sea breeze to cool the house while sun-filter blinds offer shade when needed. Double doors open on to a balcony with utterly breathtaking views — I watched the breakers swirl and crash on rocks below and the Palm Beach peninsula stretching away to the left bounded by the rocky Barrenjoey promontory with its lighthouse. The kitchen is equipped with a large granite bench and every appliance, dish, platter and utensil imaginable, and has a stunning view beyond an eight-seater dining table which sits directly above the sea. Large black leather couches fill the other end of the living space, facing a TV-entertainment system encased in a handsome antique wooden cabinet from China. The recycled Oregon pine floor, constructed with wide boards from the old Grace Bros building in Sydney, adds a warm mellow glow to the whole downstairs area while a tall urn on a long slim antique table (pictured at right) forms an impressive centrepiece. Indonesian artworks, shuttered mirrors and graceful statues and busts decorate walls and tables. But the pièce de résistance is a grand, ornately-carved antique Balinese day bed with an opera-box view of the ocean. Twin doors lead to a large patio with a concrete table and all-weather chairs, BBQ and tropical plants . . . and that same stunning vista. A second outdoor sitting area in the shade of the massive rock face the house is built into, would be a cool retreat in summer. There was no need to use the spacious upstairs lounge because we were out and about every day but the large flat-screen TV and comfy reclining couches looked an enticing option for wet-day entertainment. An office which doubles as a fourth bedroom with a high-spec fold-out double bed opens off the lounge with a lovely view towards the beach and the lighthouse. The three gorgeous blue-tiled bathrooms upstairs have glass-walled showers and the master ensuite has a bath as well. White seashell insets in the tiled walls provide a pretty contrast in keeping with the beach setting. There’s a guest toilet downstairs — the only room in the entire house without a fabulous outlook — beside the full laundry room with washing machine, tub and dryer. The beds, linen and towels are of the highest quality. Privacy, seclusion, peace and security are absolutely assured at Bella Casa where the only sounds are the waves and the birds. If you can drag yourself away from the intoxicating views, a stroll down the golden sand beach to the picturesque Barrenjoey Lighthouse is a must followed by lunch at the Boat House restaurant. The vista from the lighthouse is awesome, offering an elevated perspective of the narrow peninsula with its surf beach on one side and sheltered Pittwater harbour on the other. We were in a state of euphoria the whole weekend — it was absolute bliss. ”
