About our home

A stunning 5th floor, sub-penthouse home (173 square metres) awaits you on Ephraim Island in Paradise Point. This exclusive gated island community is second to none. You even have your own beach on the island (you can look down on it from the balcony), parking for 1 car, 3 pools, huge gymnasium, sauna, spa, day spa, restaurant and security - coordinated around the clock from the guard house. CCTV cameras are ubiquitous. Discreet, friendly guards and the management team constantly stroll/buggy the island including the basement car park.

It has been reported that the Gold Coast hosts 12 million visitors annually and has more canals and waterways than Amsterdam and Venice combined! We will host the Commonwealth Games in 2018. Your apartment being 7 kms north of the bustling Golden Mile is only minutes from several major shopping centres, beaches, hospitals and the many theme parks and exciting entertainment venues that the Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise has to offer. Two major airports (Coolangatta 45 minutes and Brisbane 50 minutes) are accessible by public transport.

Multiple clean drawers and ample hanging spaces in the wardrobes are assured. Hairdryer and luxury quality, white Egyptian cotton sheets and towels as well as new, his and her bathrobes are provided. Swappers have commented favourably on the information in the book. I clean every surface, including the interior of cupboards and drawers as part of the preparation for swappers. I appreciate it when dwellings I stay in are presented in a similar pristine state.

I'm open to swapping anywhere in the world, at any time and welcome approaches for extended stays. The Gold Coast is never cold (Winter is 12-24 degrees celsius) so don't be afraid to visit in the northern hemisphere summer...you won't freeze. I look forward to hearing from any interested "swappers".

The apartment is strictly non-smoking and unsuitable for animals and small children. I am a decisive, organised person who never reneges on agreements and expect a high level of care of my home and contents. I enjoy caring meticulously for other people's property and pets and we can provide reviews from other homeswap websites which demonstrate a track record with swapping successfully around the world.

Here are the reviews of people who've hosted us or been our (my wife is recently deceased) guests: http://gccwo.com/Reviews.htm
