About our home

Our comfortable beach house, at beautiful Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island, is a modern, easy living, Queensland beach house designed for sub-tropical holidays. Our house is set in a quiet bush land setting with some water views to Moreton Island from a large covered deck with a BBQ. It is just a few minutes walk to the nearest beach.

North Stradbroke Island is the second largest sand island in the world, with a long coastline of beautiful, unspoilt white beaches (lifesaver patrolled) perfect for swimming, diving, snorkelling, surfing, fishing or just relaxing. Most of the Island is bushland, and if you take a bushwalk you are likely to come across koalas, wallabies, wildflowers and lots of birdlife. From Point Lookout’s rocky headlands you can see whales (June to November), dolphins, turtles and rays. Point Lookout is a small township with a low-key, village atmosphere. The island with its mild island weather is great to visit year round There is a small supermarket, newsagent and bakery, the Straddie Pub and some cafes and art galleries. Just one hour from Brisbane International Airport and Brisbane City and 1½ hours from the Gold Coast, North Stradbroke Island is easily accessible by fast water taxi or vehicular ferry from Cleveland. Buses and taxis are available to get around the Island. For more information about Straddie go to and
