Sydney near city apartment

“Barbara and Chris are very nice and friendly people who came to take us at the airport and took time to show us and explain in detail all we had to know about their apartment. The apartment is ideally situated near Pyrmont Bay which means that it is close to the city center and perfect for taking the ferry to discover the splendid harbour and bay of Sidney. Close by are several museums (Maritime Museum, Powerhouse Museum...), the Chinese Town and Chinese Gardens of Friendship, the Fish Market... all of which are well worth a visit. Also just 7 minutes walk away is the Ian Thorpe Olympic pool, a superb facility. Our hosts also pointed to some good and inexpensive restaurants nearby (the Thai less than 100 meters away was our favourite). Two hundred meters away lies the Social Brew serving excellent coffee and breakfast in a lively atmosphere with very friendly staff. This was our favourite for a morning coffee. All in all we spent three very pleasant weeks in Barbara and Chris's apartment and did not see the time pass by. A truly commendable experience. ”

We were both happy to jiggle our dates around when asked, so it was easy to work out this non simultaneous exchange between us and we also met in the UK before my exchange which is always nice to do if possible. I would readily recommend their home to other exchangers.”

“Chris and Barbara's home was just perfect: the location couldn't have been better. I had the choice of walking everywhere in central Sydney or taking short rides on public transport (bus stop in front of the house) if too tired or in a hurry. The apartment decor is beautiful and very tasteful, with unusual works of art. It was very clean and tidy. I felt comfortable and very much at home, making Sydney another one of my "hometowns." It was very easy and quick to communicate with Chris and Barbara, before and during my stay. They were lovely hosts. I would be happy to go there again.”

“The property is very close to Darling Harbour and the City. Underground parking is provided. We very much enjoyed our stay at Barbara & Chris’s apartment. The apartment is very close to Darling Harbour and the City, they also have underground parking if you have a hired car, but if you are just staying in Sydney a car is not necessary.”
