Activities
The Mornington Peninsula is often referred to as the playground of Melbourne. If you want you can just sit and relax, or enjoy the endless activities from sunrise to sunset.

Walking
No need to drive at all. 200 meters from the front door you are in a maze of beach bush tracks spanning dense bushland, majestic cliffs and white sandy beaches. Walk till you drop in ether direction to Portsea or Cape Schanck. The Mornington Peninsula is home to some of the most spectacular walks, parks, wildlife reserves and sanctuaries in Victoria, even Australia

Bike Riding
Ideal place to learn to ride on our quiet local streets or head down to the bay to join the cycle track where you can cycle along the foreshore from Dromana to Point Nepean. There are smooth sealed paths as well as those suitable for mountain bikes. The sights along the way are really captivating too – little villages, local history, famous bathing boxes, peaceful bushlands and spectacular seascapes. So…on your bike!

Swimming and Surfing
Beaches, beaches everywhere. Take your choice, a quiet swim in the calm Port Phillip Bay or head down to the back beach for some nice ocean waves. Don’t forget the sun screen, you’ll need it.

Peninsula Hot Springs
This place is not to be missed. Peninsula Hot Springs is an award-winning natural hot springs and day spa destination. Natural thermal mineral waters flow into the pools and private baths at the coastal oasis, providing an idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. All this only 10 minutes by car from the beach house.

Golf
Take a small but beautiful peninsula of land with a mild maritime climate. Create a coastline with perfect conditions for links courses. Add sand dunes for natural contours, with fast-draining sandy soil. Then transform the hinterland to create even more golf terrain with bush backdrops and brilliant views. You have arrived at Australia’s #1 golf destination.
Golfers simply adore it because of the incredible diversity presented by 15 clubs with 19 links, parkland and resort courses. And when it’s only a few minutes’ drive between each course, you can pack in a lot of golf. You can play at any time too - the golf is truly year round, with a mild climate, fast-draining sandy soils and sand dunes creating some tricky challenges. All this right on your door step.

Dining
Kick start your day with a serious coffee from locally roasted beans as you browse the breakfast menu. You’ll find food with flair at dozens of cafes, bistros and restaurants - and lots on the menu has been grown or made on the Mornington Peninsula, including wine, beer and cider. 5 minutes drive you can find yourself at the relaxing environment of Blairgowrie with some magical boutique cafes. Or had down the road a few kilometres to spend time eating and shopping at the famous Sorrento Village shopping area.

Wineries
The Mornington Peninsula is also home to more than 50 boutique cellar doors and renowned pinot noir.
Taste different styles on a tour around this compact and diverse region. The peninsula’s climate, topography, land and soil structure combine to create distinct microclimates around the hinterland villages of Red Hill, Main Ridge and Moorooduc, and at coastal spots Merricks, Balnarring and Dromana.

Fishing
Cast a line into the productive fishing grounds around the Mornington Peninsula, either independently or with a fishing charter.
Try your luck, day or night, on the dozens of piers dotting the shores of Port Phillip and Westernport bays. For surf fishing, cast a line at Rye Back Beach, Gunnamatta and Point Leo.
