About our home
We recently built our passive solar designed home and love it. As well as the design, the reverse cycle ducted air conditioning makes it cool in summer and warm in winter. Only 5 blocks from the beach its a perfect house to enjoy a great holiday with numerous entertaining areas. Sipping a cocktail on the upstairs balcony while watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean proves a regular favourite pass time of our family. In summer we get a wonderful ocean breeze called the "Fremantle Doctor" which cools the house down naturally flowing through the house. The large balcony off our main bedroom provides a great place to relax and in summer we leave the sliding stacker doors open so we can go to sleep with the sound of the distant waves (the fly screens keep out any insects). The spa bath in our upstairs ensuite is a favourite with all our family and comfortably fits two, as does our double shower in that ensuite. Downstairs we have a second bathroom with shower and both upstairs and down we have Japanese bidet toilets. Our home is well set up with Bose sound system, Apple TV, Netflix,high speed internet, air conditioning, etc.
If you would like to swap you can enjoy our new home and take advantage of our wifi internet.We have two cars - a Toyota Camry Hybrid (very economical) and Mitsubishi Colt. Open to swapping cars.

“Annie and Kim’s home was perfect. It was Central to everything we could possibly need, great restaurants, good supermarket, and a magnificent wine shop directly across the road. We exchanged cars which was a major saving for us. We were less than three minutes drive or fifteen minutes walk to the magnificent beach at Scarborough, with its lovely pool and array of restaurants. The house itself was stunning, with a large open plan living area, and ample space for four of us to share without encroaching on each other’s space. Upstairs our bedroom had a water bed, a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, and a fabulous balcony where we could sit and sip our champagne while we watched one amazing sunset after another. We had the bonus of a little bird nesting just outside the dining room window, and it was a pleasure to sit and watch it coming and going while we were having breakfast. We loved every minute of our stay here, our hosts were wonderful and we can’t recommend Annie and Kim’s home enough. If you have the opportunity to exchange with them, you will love it. ”

We are a professional couple (empty nesters). Kim is an engineer currently project managing and Annie has worked in the film & TV industry for several decades as a casting director and acting coach in Perth. All our children have 'flown the coop'- eldest a lawyer recently moved to London from Tokyo with his wife and our new grandson, second an actor and filmmaker living in Sydney and our youngest, a daughter is studying Medicine (6th year) in Perth. We love travel and are hoping to find places/homes that we can swap with. We are very keen to swap with a home/ apartment in London so we can visit our kids.

A 7 minute bike ride down to the beach lets you swim in the beautiful clean Indian ocean and newly refurbished beach front with huge heated swimming pool overlooking the ocean. Our house is right near a great little cafe that serves amazing cappuccino and wood fired pizzas, a Vietnamese restaurant, a liquor store to pick up wine, spirits or beer and a pharmacy(drugstore). We're only 2 minutes from a bus stop to catch a bus to take you either into Perth CBD or down to the beach. Our home is in a very handy location. Perth has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and summers that can get hot.
