About our home

Our home is four years old and is in the desired Western Suburbs of Perth. It overlooks bushland and is linked to walking paths around Lake Claremont. Only 5 minutes drive from Swanbourne and Cottesloe Beaches, the home has a small pool, that is fully compliant with pool safety laws, should you not wish to head out for a swim. Restaurants and shops galore are found at Claremont Quarter and there is a bus stop near by which can take you into Claremont or into the City. Our home is designed to be a relaxing place to be and it feels like we are on holiday all year round. There are three outdoor spaces, a pool and a BBQ. Downstairs, there is a large open plan living space, with a lounge, dining area and kitchen and another living space upstairs which the kids can use to play Xbox 360 and Wii or play one of the many children's DVD's available. The Master bedroom is downstairs and has a King size bed (Super King UK size) and ensuite with a large shower. A study at the back of the house has a Queen size (UK King) bed in it. Upstairs there are two children's bedrooms. One with a bunk bed - double at the bottom and single at the top - and one with a double bed. There is a bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate toilet. The laundry has a top loader washing machine and dryer. There is a Queen size mattress in the garage which can be brought inside and put in the living area should an extra bed be needed. There is fully ducted air-conditioning throughout the house should the temperature rise too much outside and each bedroom has a ceiling fan as well. There are also heaps of beach towels so you won't need to bring them!

This is a great house for families. It has a real holiday house feel to it - relaxed, open and in a great, quiet location with excellent, friendly neighbours. You can hear kookaburras laughing in the evening and we are visited by Bob the Bobtail Lizard (not an original name, I know) every couple of weeks who eats our snails for us. The lake has a plethora of bird life in it, including black swans and turtles.
