About our home

Our home was built in 1893, which is why it's Heritage listed in Australia. It is a quiet street in the Greater Sydney area. A train is 15 mins walk away, with a bus at the bottom and top of the street, if you don't feel like walking. Our nearest station is Granville, and from there it's a mere 30-45 mins by train to the Sydney CBD, Sydney Harbour, Opera House, Circular Quay. We are about an hour's drive from here to the Blue Mountains (Three Sisters, historic town of Katoomba etc). We are only ten mins drive from Parramatta, one of Australia's first towns of European settlement. There are no more than 2-3 steps in our house, so it's suitable for elderly folks. This is not a vogue home ! It is full of character and we love it. There are books to read (please replace when you've read them), and DVDs to watch in the evening. We have a dishwasher, electric oven, microwave and everything you need to cook. It is a multi cultural area, and we have the best neighbours in the world. We are interested in swapping homes with people in the UK, Germany or renting our home to people who are perhaps visiting family in the Sydney area, or here on business.
