About our home
Our apartment is located in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Toorak. Within 100 metres of city tram stop and close to 2 train stations, the small apartment block is within easy walking distance of Toorak and Hawksburn shopping villages, cafes, restaurants and the Yarra River. Toorak is renowned as Melbournes premier suburb offering easy access to freeways leading west towards Geelong, the surf coast and Great Ocean Road as well as east towards the Pacific Highway and Gippsland. Melbourne's sporting precinct is also within easy reach including the Melbourne Tennis Centre (home of the Australian Open) and the Melbourne Cricket Ground. We have two bikes available for our guests to use. Melbourne is a very cycle friendly city. From the apartment it is a short ride through the quiet local streets to the city cycle path leading down to the Port Phillip Bay bike path in one direction and the Yarra Trails in the other. Rarely do we use a car while visiting our apartment choosing rather to pedal to our destination/s.

We are Belinda and Iain. We have worked together in the hospitality industry for all our working lives but have now put work behind us and are enjoying our active lifestyles. We have grown up twin boys one of whom is happily married while the other is happily married to his work as an airline pilot. Although we generally travel as a couple our 'unhooked' son occasionally likes to join in the fun.

We are passionate outdoor people and enjoy getting out into the elements whether it be trail running, mountain biking, sea kayaking or simply walking the many beaches our homeland has to offer. We have also been known to partake in a slice of traditional 'Finnish Wife Carrying' (an absolute must if you want a great laugh). We spent several years living in Sweden during our early days together and are regular visitors to the old country where we catch up with relatives (Iain is 1/2 Swedish) and friends.

Our apartment is located in Toorak. Full of beautiful homes with established gardens, Toorak offers easy access to the city via either the tram network (tram stop is only 70 metres) or two train stations within a 15 minute walk. Toorak shopping village is just three stops away on the tram or a ten minute walk.
