We live in a beautiful part of the world our home is very much within a sub-tropical native bush backdrop with freshly flowing creeks and waterfalls a short distance away. Oozing with charm, it is a robust pole framed home with exposed beams, clad with local timber and stone. Very much a quintessential, rustic building that typifies the Rainbow Region of Northern NSW. It features a large slow combustion fireplace and exceptional open living layout plus veranda's.The kitchen being the heart of the house and old world charm has a fully functioning historic Kookaburra oven and stove where we have had many amazing meals .The bathroom contains both a large shower and deep old fashioned bath to soak and relax in. All bedrooms including upstairs loft have Queen size beds. Yes we do have electricity and standards of televisions, microwave, dryer and a commercial sized washing machine are available. The property is located 3 km from the village Garage and General Store where you can buy most essential items plus beer, wine and spirits. To come to our home you are in for a real treat
This is a quiet and peaceful area offering a great retreat from bustling city locations. The pace of life is somewhat more casual and laid back yet offers plenty of opportunities for adventure and exploration, whether you be looking for bush walks, mountain bike rides or surfing in Byron this area has vast appeal to both individuals and families. We have a local swimming hole only 4 minutes walk away, there literally is something for everyone. If you need a fix of more upbeat location the Gold Coast is only 2 hours away with shopping, nightlife and casino.
Wayne and I are both in our early fifties and are an energetic couple, we love to start our day by walking early mornings with our dog. We love animals and birds and other wildlife, which is one of the high lights of our property. We have two grown up sons, 18 and 20,who are now spreading their wings travelling, and venturing out. Wayne loves surfing at Byron regularly while I love to cook, go to the movies with friends and dabble in the garden. We have been building our home and property for over 25years and feel blessed bringing up our boys in such a great part of the world. Wayne is regularly undertaking building projects, landscaping and working with community organisations. I am a hairdresser / teachers aide/ and slideshow presenter who enjoys creative projects. We equally are looking to travel, within the next few months, to Scotland, France and Italy. We will happily look after your home as we would our own.
