About our home
We have a clean, comfortable 4 bedroom house with separate lounge, dining and rumpus rooms. The house has security screens as well as being flyscreened throughout. The master bedroom is air conditioned and has an ensuite. An outdoor BBQ area overlooks an inground pool as well as providing views of nearby Mt Coolum and the ocean.

Yola and myself, Philip, are both retired teachers with three independent adult children. We enjoy outdoor activities, and walk and swim on the beach most days. Snow skiing once a year is one of our luxury sports. We have done two teaching exchanges where we exchanged jobs and houses,so travelling and living overseas are the retirement activities we have been aiming for. We have exchanged in Italy(2012), Germany(2012) and Spain(2013), and had a fabulous time. We are both non-smokers, and Yola is allergic to cats.

Neighbourhood
Coolum is a coastal town of 25000 people on the Sunshine Coast, which is 90 minute drive north of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. The local patrolled surf beach is a 5 minute drive, while Noosa, a well known tourist destination, is 20 mins north. The area caters for most outdoor activities with 4 golf courses and 2 tennis clubs within 15 mins, and plenty of National Parks for bush walking. Local shops cater well for all cooking needs. Two large shopping malls are close by.
