About our home

We are Claudia and Christopher, an artist/designer and a writer, our 6 year old daughter Greta and our 12 year old cat, Sonny. Our home is a recently renovated, open-plan Edwardian free-standing house with small front and rear gardens. It is bright, fresh, new and clean. It has ducted heating, evaporative cooling, a full kitchen with a separate dining area. The lounge-room is also separate with digital tv and dvr. The kitchen has gas stove, electric oven and dishwasher. All windows look out to the gardens and the house is extremely private. We have a main bedroom with ensuite including shower, toilet and basin. A main bathroom includes all the above and a separate bath. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer and we have an outdoor clothesline. Greta's bedroom has a king single bed with a single trundle mattress bed beneath it. We also have a small and private study with computer, wifi and a single bed. Our cat Sonny comes with the house and is good at looking after himself but would need feeding, watering and some cuddles. We live in a very friendly and vibrant Melbourne suburb, only 7 km from the city centre and an 80 minute approx drive to the Great Ocean Road. We are a 3 minute walk to the train station that takes you on the 12 minute trip into the city centre. The local shopping precinct, Yarraville village is a 3 minute walk from home and has everything you'd need including supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bookshops and a beautifully restored Art Deco cinema. While the house doesn't have disabled facilities or hand rails in the bathroom, it has been renovated to accommodate a wheelchair including a wide hallway, a large open shower which is easy to wheel a chair into and a toilet with room around it in the main bathroom.
