About our home

Our beautiful house is in a lovely, and safe area of Vienna very close to the Vienna Woods which is a lovely hiking and mountain biking area and in 10 minutes walking distance to a "Heurigen" village where you find lots of cozy places to drink the new wine.
It belongs to an ensemble, where the main house was built in 1724 and it's in the family since 1786.
(from 1900 -1929 it was rent to the famous author Hugo von Hofmannsthal who's theater play "Jedermann" is still played every year at the great Salzburg music festival.)
Our house was built 100 years later for the young family members to have balls. It is very bright and friendly and one can see that the 2000 m² garden was a darling since 150 years. It was totally renovated any launched by my husband's parents and is now 280 m² with two bathrooms two living rooms, a veranda and four bedrooms.

Behind our house is small river and it starts the Vienna Woods - a lovely area with lots of hiking and mountain biking trails and cozy mountain huts to eat and drink. In 10 minutes walking distance you're in the wine region of Perchtoldsdorf with premium wines and lots of really typical "Heurigen" where the locals go (in best case after a long hiking)..
On the other side you're two minutes away from the public transport system of Vienna! We feel very lucky ;-))
The southwest of Vienna is a good base, ofcourse for the city center but also for the rest of Austria, ... the lake Neusiedel and the Wachau (both world heritages) on a boat trip on the river Danube (also to Bratislava/Slovenia)
