About our home

We are living in a bright and big apartment (100m²), central in Vienna suitable, easily for 4 people (two couples or a couple with children).
The apartment is very special: It's in the first floor, but you have to go down three steps to enter the rooms, but the windows start directly from the floor, that is why it still is very bright.
I simply love this apartment, because it does not look like an average city apartment.
It has 2 sleeping rooms, 1 big living room, 1 bathroom with toilet and a separate toilet.
The windows are big and new, so it is quiet, but you can see everything that happens on the street.

More about us

  1. My husband and I we are teachers, and our summer holidays are two months (July and August).
In this period we would like to stay in Brighton as long as possible, in order to get an idea of how people live at your wonderful city and to refresh our English skills.

We have two children (5 and 3 years). It would be great, if they could join a local nursery at least for a few hours in the morning. We already did some research and there are some institutions that make a good impression.
But if you know something like this, let us know!

Where is it?

From here you can either walk or take the subway (one/two stops) to the main tourist attractions like St. Stephen's cathedral, the Opera, Burgtheater, Town Hall, Sisi museum, etc.... The famous Naschmarkt, a very colourful market is in walking distance (not even 5 min.) and the biggest shopping street can also be reached by foot (10 - 15 min.). The beautiful castle plus zoo Schönbrunn are also easily reachable from our home and restaurants, pubs and bars are close by too.

We have been living in Vienna for more than ten years now and still enjoy it very much - there is much to see and do (as you might already know) - cultural activities, theatres, festivals, lots of museums and exhibitions, great architecture, good shopping, not far away you can go climbing, hiking, swimming, skiing, there are vinyards etc. From here you could also go to Bratislava which would take you about an hour (you could even go by boat). Salzburg, where Mozart was born is a three hour train ride.

Well, in case you are interested to swap homes please let us know - it would be great to arrange a swap!
