54 m2, 2 big rooms under the rooftop, with long terrace, suitable for 2 persons, maybe with kids sleeping on an extra-mattress in the livingroom.
lively street market and a wide variety of restaurants just around the corner. 3 minutes to next Subway-station. 20 minutes walking distance to city center and several museums.
There is an elevator, but there are 6 steps on the ground floor to reach it, so the apartment is not wheelchair-friendly.
As you can see on the pictures, the apartment is neither fancy nor stylish. I am the t-shirt and hoody kind of guy. So is my nest. Casual, practical, ready to use. I own this place for 21 years now. Did a lot of renovation in recent years. Kitchen is next on my list.
WIFI,
Bathtub with shower
big washing machine.
No TV.
2 big armchairs instead of a couch.
No refrigerator, because I got the market downstairs, cook fresh almost every day and have cold drinks in the bars and restaurants around. (However, in the course of renovating my kitchen, this rather unusual feature may change).
No dish washer
I can stay with my girlfriend Irene, so I can give away my apartment any time. However, I cannot recommend it in the winter, because the walls and floor of this post-WW2-building are not well isolated and it is not really cosy. In spring and summer it is great.
Irene studied special needs education. She is holding a management position in a NGO that takes care of mentally disabled persons.
I (Andreas) studied law and political science, worked in several NGOs and still as political activist. Nowadays I earn money assisting disabled people and as a lecturer and ghostwriter for an editing house.
Around the corner there is one of Viennas most famous street markets, the Brunnenmarkt. It is open every day except sunday. Each saturday, there is an additional Farmers market, where you can buy extra goodies. Surrounding the market there are lots of Restaurants, many turkisch, some austrian and balkan-grill and some asian. Not fancy, not expensive, but delicious nonetheless.
