Very comfortable apartment in a historic building, just a few blocks from the heart of Salzburg.
The apartment is very bright, with large windows and high ceilings, modern kitchen and bathroom.
There is a large, spacious bedroom with king-size bed, cozy living room with a comfortable couch where 2 extra people can sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped incl. dishwasher.
You can use high-speed free WIFI as well as TV with many German & international channels as well as Netflix & YouTube.
There are only a few apartments in the building, so the house is quiet and well maintained. We have two bicycles and use them a lot in the city – you can use them too! Salzburg is a very bike– friendly place with plenty of bike routes.
We really love our apartment, take goof care of it and with the same respect we will treat your place.
SALZBURG & AROUND: Salzburg is one of the most beautiful European cities, filled with history and amazing architecture across the city. It's the city of Mozart and until today it has remained very cultural, especially when it comes to music. Also, if you know the movie "The Sound of Music" – it has been filmed in Salzburg and its surroundings.
From the city you can reach very clean, beautiful lakes, go on hiking adventures or visit charming Austrian villages. One of the best options to get to know the region might be by getting the SalzburgerlandCard, which costs only 66euro (per person and half price for kids age 6-15) for 6 days and covers 190 attractions. It includes free public transportation in the city and a pass to drive up Grossglocknerstrasse, the famous road overlooking the highest Austrian mountain (3798m/12 460ft).
We're an Austrian – Polish couple that met several years ago while traveling in Central America and now enjoys living in the Alps where Benjamin comes from. We're both 30
Benjamin is a mechanical engineer & Ula works as a freelance photographer & blogger
We love to travel, cook & eat well, enjoy nature, hiking and do other sports
NEIGHBORHOOD: The apartment is located in Andräviertel, one of the nicest neighborhoods in Salzburg and it's a short walking distance from the very center of Salzburg. There're many restaurants around, featuring different cuisines as well as vegan & vegetarian options. A good, traditional Austrian and Indian restaurants are just around the corner.
The nearest supermarkets are 5min walk away.
Every Thursday there's a famous farmers market (Schrannenmarkt) just 10min walk away, with high-quality specialties (so much wonderful cheese!), fresh vegetables, meat products, different kinds of breads & pastries and more. It's been in operation since 1906 and it's one of the biggest attractions of Salzburg.
In 10mins you can also reach the main train station from where you can get a train and explore the beautiful region of Salzburg, and fall in love with the Alps. You can also easily get in 2:20 hours to Vienna, 2hrs to Munich or 1:45 to Innsbruck.
