“Our family - two adults, four children - enjoyed the stay at Sankt Veit very much. The exchange with the family of Judith and Ulrich went very well. We were fortunate to meet them and their children, they are all adorable, kind people. The house is in the old, historical downtown of Sankt Veit, very close to the main square. The building itself is absolutely charming with its thick walls, wooden floors and wooden furniture, paneled windows and pictures on the wall. The house offered more than enough space for the six of us. The walled garden provides a cozy place for relaxation. The area offers plenty of activities. If you need some guidance, please visit the Tourist Information on the main square, just a few minutes from the house, where we received lots of useful information on sights. Some of our favourites were the Minimundus, the Wasserweg hike in Liebenfels, the brewery visit in Hirt and the Piramydenkogel above the Worther See. We highly recommend an exchange with Judith, Ulrich and their daughters.”

About our home
Our medieval house (beginning of the 17th century) lies in between the town walls of of the lovely small town St.Veit in Carinthia, Southern Austria.
It´s thick stonewalls are a natural way of airconditioning in the summertime. There is a large dining and living room as well as a large kitchen surrounded by lovely gardens and the city moat. The first and second floor include five bedroom, one on the very top overviewing the roofs of the medieval town of the duke. Our large and light house leaves enough convenient space for many People and though it´s set right in the middle of town, it´s a very calm and peaceful place to stay. Since we have five children ourselves you can be sure that it is a suitable place for children as well as just to be and relax.

Judith's reviews
As a host (2)“We had an excellent time in Austria, the country is beautiful and the family is just so adorable as we had the chance to meet one another. Judith and Ulrich are very friendly and sociable people and their house is very nice and spacious right in the middle of historical St Veit. A great exchange! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en Carinthie (Sud de l'Autriche). Judith, Ulrich et leurs filles sont adorables. C'est un échange que nous n'oublierons pas car ce ne fut pas seulement un échange de maisons mais aussi un échange de cultures riche d'enseignement entre Français (Bretons) et Autrichiens.”
More about us
-
We are a nature loving nice family with five lovely daughters, aged between 11 and 16. Tara, our eldest daughter already likes to traveller with her friends, so we are looking for places to go with Mona (15), Mira (13) and the twins Rubina and Leila (11). Our working place, which is an institute for psychotherapy as well as life counseling and also offers apprenticeship and workshops in this field, is seated in the main plaza in town. We, Ulrich (49) and Judith (46) are highly interested in other cultures and cultural goods just as theatre, literature, music and dance. Exchanging houses is a new way of traveling for us and seems to be a great opportunity to get new impression of other countries. We are looking forward to meeting you and sharing the beauty of this great place with you!:)
