About our home

My home is centrally located in a quiet, sunny location on the 3rd floor, overlooking the junction of the rivers Enns and Steyr. 2 Rooms (20+m2 each) overlook the river and a 3rd (20+m2)overlooks the quiet courtyard. In addition there is a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and bath and a small box room/library. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful. I have said that there is space for 6 people but obviously that would mean 2 sleeping in the 'living-room' or sharing one of the other rooms.

For a view of the location, I suggest you go to: www.hapo.at/360.php scroll down to the picture (near the bottom) entitled 'Zwischenbrücken' and click on 'Panorama starten' under the picture. About half-way throught the video is a pale yellow building across the river. That's where I am!

More about us

  1. Rather than writing a lot here, may I suggest that you look at my homepages: www.eco-life.at(in English) and www.shiatsu-steyr.at
    (in English and German)

I was born in Brighton, England, worked in different countries and came to Austria because of being in love with an Austrian woman. Although that relationship ended, a new one is developing with a long-time friend. She (Maria)is 45 and works as a Family Counsellor. I am 54 and work as a Shiatsu Practitioner and Language coach.

Where is it?

Steyr is a beautiful historic town with plenty of interesting things to do, as well as having easy public transport access to the country-side. Food and clothes shops, as well as places to eat are within easy walking distance of the appartment. Please see www.shiatsu-steyr.at for a location plan.

There are 2 "what's on" guides for the Steyr area, published weekly. If you want more 'city-life', there are train connections to Linz, Salzburg and Vienna
