About our home

New build apartment of 84 m2 plus 8 m2 balcony facing a park. Well situated. Our home is composed of 1 kitchen living room combo, 3 bedrooms (1 double bed - 180x200 cm; 2 single beds - 90x200 cm), 1 bathroom with bathtub and washing machine, 1 separate WC. We live in a new build apartment complex (2016). Our building is set back from the street. There is a small playground for young children in the complex courtyard/backyard with a sandbox. Another playground is located right in front of our balcony in the park. Vienna is a wonderful city. It offers a great range of activities: sightseeing, museums, operas, concerts, theatres, restaurants and cafés, beaches along the Old Danube, parks, playgrounds, bike trails, recreational parks, zoo, aquarium, woods, vineyards, spa... There is something for everyone!

More about us

We are Marie (40), Louis (8) and Élise (7). We are a French speaking Belgian family and live in beautiful Vienna since 2006. I work as a Translation Assistant in an international organization. Louis and Élise have a lot of energy, but they are well behaved and they are very respectful to others and others' belongings. We like especially nature, outdoor activities and swimming. For the summer 2020 we are looking for exchanges in Europe with a house/chalet/cottage with garden, in the country side, in the mountains, near a lake, near the beach or with a private/shared swimming pool; or an apartment near the beach (in short, not in the city!). Long weekend exchanges during the year can be considered if in Austria or destinations not too far from Vienna and preferably reachable by public transports (also in the city). Theoretically only simultaneous exchanges are possible but do not hesitate to contact me for non-simultaneous exchanges as I might manage to make our apartment available during another time. This will be our first home exchange and we are really looking forward to it.

The apartment is located in a few minutes walking distance from a big shopping center and a movie theatre in German (Donauzentrum + Cineplex); the main skating rink of the city (Albert-Schultz-Eishalle); one of the main subway line (U1) which leads you in 10 minutes to downtown Vienna (Stephansplatz), 7 min. to Prater Park and Prater amusement park, 3 min. to the Vienna International Centre (UNO City), 5 min. to the Danube Island (Donauinsel) and 1 min. to the Old Danube. You can also reach the Old Danube by foot. Vienna is very well equipped with public transports (subways, streetcars, busses, trains and city bikes).
