Our house is a modern house in Vienna in the 16th district (called "Ottakring") in 20 minutes distance to the city center (Stephansplatz) with public transportation. It's also close to the beautiful Vienna woods and the vineyards with many original "Heurigen" (traditional wine-taverns). Perfect for sightseeing as well as relaxing or walking and jogging right in front of the door, public swimming pool 3 minutes away.
The house is characterized by a natural transition between indoor and outdoor life and a combination of white walls and grey facing concrete walls, wooden and stone floors and huge windows.
The open kitchen is in the living room on the first floor. The sleeping rooms (one with a double bed, two smaller kid's rooms and one guest room with a convertible sofa) and the bathrooms (one with steem sauna) are on the ground floor. Two extra toilets, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. There is an extra shower in the guest/sleeping room, which also has a terrace to the garden. (First floor terrace is with gas barbecue, the garden with charcoil barbecue.)
From the first floor and the roof terrace you can enjoy stunning views over the city.
The house is our main home, its situatedness combines urban lifestyle and leasure in an unique way and was planed by a recognized Viennese architect (silberpfeil-architects).

It is a little bit out of the way, but Wien subway is very efficient, and there is nothing more agreeable than relaxing above the city, with a great view, after a full day of shopping and visiting. Much more interesting than being just in the center!”
We are visual artists and curators based in Vienna and love to travel, professionally and on a private basis. We have two daughters (15 and 18), who are also very curious to see the world.
All cultural and historical highlights of Vienna are within easy reach (e.g. Stephansdom, Schloss Schönbrunn, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Belvedere, Albertina, MAK - Museum of Applied Arts, MUMOK – Museum of Modern Art, Opera, Theater an der Wien, Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Burgtheater, famous coffeehouses, etc.), as well as the historical sites at the Danube in Lower Austria (1 hour distance).
Budapest (2,5 hours), Salzburg (2,5 hours), Graz (2 hours), Bratislava (45 minutes), Prague (3,5 hours), Neusiedlersee (40 minutes), the lakes in "Salzkammergut" (2 hours), skiiing (starting with less than one hour).
