About our home

My apartment is on the top floor of a turn of the century building that has been built by my great grandfather in Vienna Austria. It is comfortable and spacious (10 ft ceilings), perfect for two people, but can accomodate up to four guests. A well equipped kitchen, large diningroom and inviting livingroom with a fireplace and a piano are waiting for you. The entry, kitchen and bathroom floors are ceramic tile, all others are old fashioned hardwood. From the spacious bedroom a French door opens to the balcony, which is nice in the summertime. Ample wardrobe and storage and a large bathroom area are another big plus and make this apartment a perfect place from which to go out and discover our lovely City of Vienna.

More about us

  1. I am a 51 year old Austrian woman, mother of three grown children, young at heart and fond of travelling. I own a hardware store in Vienna and I am also involved in the development of real estate. I love to ski. Other activities I enjoy are hiking and sailing. Home Exchange is new to me, but it struck me as a very good idea. A way to have a home away from home, and to be able to offer this to someone else in return.

Where is it?

Once outside the building you will find yourself in a busy neighbourhood of Vienna within five minutes walking distance to the Inner City. Bus- and subwaystations are close by. Our district is the seventh district of Vienna and has always been the home of craftsmen and artists. There are many small shops and restaurants to visit and a lot of young people live here. You can walk to many of the museums and sights this city has to offer, and that includes also several beautiful parks, to take a break in. You will be extremely close to all the tourist sights, and yet staying in a very localy Viennese neighbourhood.
