“We (myself, my husband and 2 adult boys) stayed at Anne's apartment in Zell am See and used it as a skiing base for a week in early March. We flew into Salzburg and took the 1.5 scenic train to Zell am See. The apartment is very well positioned between the town of Zell am See and the Areit Xpress lift which carried us to the slopes everyday. From the apartment it is a very pleasant 20 minute walk into the centre around by the lake. There are also shops/restaurants nearby if you want to stay local. The apartment itself is bright and comfortable with great views of the mountains to the rear and the lake to the front - we even managed some sunbathing from the balcony in March! What was invaluable for us was Anne's local knowledge - where to ski, where to store our equipment, where to eat, train journeys etc .. this made the trip a great success. It is a beautiful area with plenty to do - especially if you enjoy the outdoors. ”
Anne's reviewsAs a host (2)
“We had a wonderful week in Zell am See. The apartment suits for two people. For our daughter of 18 the sleeping loft was a bit to low. We enjoyed sitting on the two balconies with a beautiful view on mountains and lake. We did a point swap with Anne and had a lot of communication. She reacted immidiately on questions. ”
Where is it?
Zell am See is a charming Alpine town in a idyllic lakeside setting making it an ideal location for both winter and summer holidays. Haus Sonas is owned by an Irish family who have holidayed in the region in all seasons for the last 15 years. We are always happy to share our advice and recommendations with our guests. We even allow guests use our bikes which is a great way to get to visit the area.
