About our home

My home is a spacious two bedroom plus cupola house with a large living room/dining room and kitchen with a unique island handcrafted from sea glass found right on Rum Cay. The cupola offers exceptional 360 degree views of Rum Cay and could also be used as a third bedroom. There is a large deck that wraps around two sides of the house overlooking a creek that runs from the salt ponds to the ocean. A fine collection of art from around the world gives this home a unique character. Handcrafted furniture adds the finishing touch on this house.

Neighbourhood

Rum Cay is considered one of the far islands of the Bahamas. They say that Columbus set foot here after/before San Salvador which is the neighbouring island. With currently only 80 residents this island still retains a raw energy that can only be compared to a lawless, pirate-like feeling which keeps you looking for treasure. The endless beaches are pink, sandy & gorgeous and you just never know what you'll find. The town itself is a little sleepy with a couple of local restaurants & stores. Sumner Point Marina is about a five minute walk from the house offering a restaurant, cottages for rent and boat slips.
