About our home

Our spacious & cosy house is located in the small village called Ombret. Ombret is part of the commune of Amay. Ombret is a rural location and a great starting place to visit Belgium. We have one neighbour on the other side of the street. The place is super calm. There is not a lot of traffic as we are on a side road. The road is part of a touristic road called 'Route romantique'. The road leads to the woods. Our home was built in the mid 1840's and we have completely renovated it in 2005 keeping mainly the outside stone walls and the roof. There is a beautiful view on the valley, the river Meuse and the center of Amay. The historic center of Amay which hosts the weekly market on saturday mornings is just a few kilometers away. Huy, a pretty little touristic town is about 10 kilometers away (nice things to visit, market on wednesday mornings). The N90 is easily reachable less than 2km from our home. The N90 will bring you to Liège (30km) or Namur (30km) who are both worth a visit for touristic visits or shopping. There are 2 living rooms, 1 dining room, 1 "game room" (for the kids), 1 music room, 1 bathroom (shower, bath & toilet), 1 extra toilet & 3 bedrooms (the master bed room with a double bed, both others with single beds). We also have a double inflatable bed which can be used is needed. There is also a fully functionnal kitchen, a laundry room & a wine cave. The main living room has a flat tv on which you will probably find your national tv station as there is a digital decodee. There is also a nice inset fireplace which can be seen both from the living room and dining room. There is garden furniture (tables & chairs + a hamac and an umbrella). We have a small barbecue too. 3 cats also live in the garden and need to be fed from time to time! Parking is not a problem, it is a rural location, there is room for your car!
