About our home

Our house is a mansion built in 1903 by the well known Antwerp architect Ernest Stordiau. It's facade shows very particular art nouveau style elements and has therefor earned a registrated status as a heritage building.
However we just love to live here for its light and spacious rooms. The authentic style elements combine perfectly with our eclectic mix of furniture and art. All together this is home for us.
There are two guest rooms located on the top floor with two double beds. One room is equipped with a baby bed (an extra baby bed is available). There is a shower facility in the room on the back.
On the first floor are the children's rooms both with single beds and a bathroom. The living and kitchen are located on the ground floor.

Where is it?

Our home is located in the vibrant "south district". Here you can find numerous restaurants and bars, as well as gallery's, the museum for modern art and the museum for photography.
Antwerp is known for it's leading role in the diamond industry. Most rough diamonds find their way to Antwerp to be traded and finalized. World's finest jewelry houses are represented here. See for yourself and pay a visit to the "diamond district" where the streets seem paved with these shimmering glitters.
Antwerp has established its name as a notable place for fashion design by the break trough of "the Antwerp six" (Dries van Noten, Walter van Beirendock, Ann Demeulemeester, Martin Margiela, Dirk Bikkembergs and Dirk van Saene). Most designers of the Antwerp six still have their flagship stores in Antwerp and have attracted lots of lovely boutiques.
In addition Antwerp is the perfect hub for the hi-speed Thalys train, 1 hour to Amsterdam, 2 hours to Paris and 3,5 hours to London.
