Ideal for a romantic week in Brugge minimum stay 7 nights. Max 2 people no children.
Brugge is a city full of surprises and cobbled streets
an adventurers paradise! The town is aptly named Venice of the North.
The Canals wind through the town following the romantic cobble stoned streets The canal boats provide a wonderful view of the town from the water. After a trip on the canal you will have a different perspective and it'll be fun to visit some of the sites that you've seen from the water.
Belgium and Bruges have wonderful restaurants The Belgians take pride in their food and of course are famous for their Frites.
There is even a Frites Museum, after a long walk what better to do then have a beer in one of the many mediaeval Cafés like the
Garre where they limit the Garre beer they sell their to their clients
to 2 glasses Maximum there in Belgium is stronger than in most countries! The whole world has heard of Belgian chocolate i'm Bruges is a wonderful town to sample chocolate as it's the chocolate capital of the world.
Bruges is a paradise for couples at any time of the year The city has plenty of open spaces and parks and even though you may think you are lost in the maze of small streets all streets eventually lead to the marketplace or so I have been told.
Cycling plays a large part in the town and bicycles have the right of way everywhere there are several groups offering day trips on bicycles to some of the most beautiful little villages surrounding Brugges.
I have lived here for many years and even now I come across bars and restaurants that I've never seen before during my regular walks.
Brugge is very close to the sea and there are wonderful beaches on the coast assessable by very efficient trains from Brugges Station.
The Kust tram goes all the way down the coast from The Netherlands border to the French border with stopping places every few hundred metres.
Brugge has wonderful museums and regular specialised exhibitions
This year in particular The exhibitions will focus on the First World War and Bruges will have exhibitions showing The city as it was between 1914 and 1918. The town is compact yet quite large it is easy to walk everywhere that you want to go and The town is particularly safe even late at night.
Brugge is A city with a significant historical legacy and well worth a visit.
Even though we live in the centre of the town it is extremely quiet at all times.
