About our home

Our house is a nice townhouse, with a sunny garden in the rear and a nice spacious park in the front. It's close to the historic city centre - Bruges allegedly is one of Europe's best preserved historic cities - really within walking distance. From the study/3rd bedroom you can see the boats go by on the canal; one of the long distance bike trails passes the house as well.
One bedroom with a double bed; one bedroom with two single beds; the study has a convertible coach that sleeps two as well.
A wooden floor; cable tv with Dutch, English, German and French speaking channels. DVD-player. Central heating for warmth and a fireplace to make it cosier. An open kitchen and fast internet access.
Kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, microwave, oven, deep freezer, fridge, ..).
Two bikes are available.

Where is it?

Bruges is one of Europe's best preserved mediaeval cities. There are some very good museums, especially on the Flemish Primitive painters. The house is situated within the old city walls, but in a quiet neighbourhood. The old windmills are just a 5 minute walk away, and so is the historic city centre. To the front there is a park and a canal, and the garden is shielded and offers a lot of privacy. There is a convenient bus stop almost in front of the house. A bike trail (the "Noordzeeroute")runs in front of the house. Bruges offers good cycling and walking.
The city is well connected by railway; other cities (Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels) are at the most an hour away by train.
